 It has been said by many that "the children are our future". On July 15, 2021, most American families will begin to receive one of the largest Child Tax Credit in history, provided through the American Rescue Plan. According to our research, 85.7% of children (143,400 Children) in the 9th Congressional District will gain from the expanded-improved Child Tax Credit, and lift 10,700 children out of poverty .
On Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 6-7 PM, the Internal Revenue Service and I, will be hosting a virtual town hall to provide an informative dialogue on the new Child Tax Credit Program. This program will allow families who filed 2019 and 2020 to receive tax benefits of $300/Month (per child ages 0-5) and $250/month (per child ages 6-17) . Please, join us at this virtual event.
