Miami Beach, FL, December 5, 2018 РUntitled Art is pleased to announce the inaugural Otazu Art Prize has been awarded to Jos̩ Luis Landet for his work
Jordi Bernadó, artist and Communications Advisor for the Otazu Foundation, Omar Lopez-Chahoud Untitled Art’s Artistic Director, and
Humberto Moro, Curator at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah, GA.

work was selected from the artworks on view by the 133 international exhibitors,
representing 55 cities and 30 different countries, by a jury of three art world
professionals including
The work of Argentinian artist José Luis Landet’s involves a wide range of operating
and assimilating cultural processes crossed by social, political and ideological actions,
through which he explores cultural remnants. Through the process of deconstructing
images and objects he reveals, documents and innovates new narratives held within.
The work will become part of the permanent collection of Fundación Otazu and Landet
will design a wine label, based on the winning work that will be used for a special edition
wine. The special edition wine will be presented at the eighth edition of the fair in 2019.
Fundación Otazu was created with the purpose of managing and directing a comprehensive program around its collection of contemporary art located at Bodega Otazu winery, in Navarra, Spain. In addition to curated exhibitions around the art collection, the foundation has developed a program ranging from scholarships and residences for young artists, to a biennial of monumental sculpture for internationally renowned artists. The foundation’s mission is to move beyond the boundaries of a contemporary art collection, and to create a community of artists and thinkers who collaborate on projects that integrate art, history, nature and wine on the premise of artistic creation as a tool for reflection, innovation, awareness and social improvement.
The seventh edition of Untitled Art, Miami Beach takes place December 5 - 9, 2018 on the beach at Ocean Drive and 12th Street in Miami Beach.
