The Met's New Location Opening!

The Met's new location opens to the public March 18th! This is a historic milestone not only for the Museum, but for the cultural life of New York City. The iconic building designed by Marcel Breuer [BROY-er] on Madison Avenue and 75th Street will provide additional space to explore the art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries through the global breadth and historical reach of The Met's unparalleled collection.

Relation: A Performance Residency by Vijay Iyer

The Met's 2015–16 Resident Artist, Vijay Iyer, will occupy The Met Breuer's Lobby Gallery in March, inhabiting the space creatively and bringing his encyclopedic breadth of artistic practice to a residency, redefined. Iyer will highlight his full body of work with performances that will run continuously throughout Museum hours.
