President Obama Still Accepting Migrants!

 

After all the threats that have been sent out from Isis President Obama still stands by his position of accepting the migrants from Syria. There are many people who do not believe that they should stand behind him on his position. Jebb Bush believes that the U.S should only take the refugees that are christians. Marco Rubio who comes from a family of refugees and migrants believes that they should not accept the refugees into this country as well. With so many people throwing their thoughts and opinions on what should be done he refuses to be moved by their opinions.

"America is a country that is built on diversity, it is a place for freedom."  For this country to turn these refugees away goes against everything the country stands for. This country is built on immigrants and refugee. Will turning away the refugees stop Isis from any infiltration on the U.S? Taking in refugees does not stop Isis from gaining access to this country. You do not have to be a refugee to gain access to this country. The fact that so many people are against taking in refugees speak volumes about this country and who the people are. A lot of people forget where they came from and how they got their start or beginning. If we are not truly the land of the free why do the people here now, not want to stand by the reputation and name that this country carries!

At first I was opposed to America taking in refugees and then I sat down and reassess my thought pattern. America has been attacked before Isis, and these refugees several times. Yet America still stands strong from those previous attacks. Why would we as people, human beings reject the idea of helping others? Put yourself in the next persons shoes and try to imagine what they are going through before you turn your back or turn them away. Many people do things out of fear, if you never face these fears how can you know how far you can go?

28 U.S states are refusing to accept refugees but there is no law that states that they would be able to deny the refugees. Ohio has taken in refugees from Syria in the last couple years and months but do not want to continue to accept the refugees that are coming in. Why change now?
