9 Black Lives Taken in South Carolina Due to Racism!

As a 21 year old growing up in South Carolina where could you have gotten the idea of racist thoughts or racism embedded in your brain. You weren't born until 1994. People try to blame racism on every other race and brush the idea of racism under the rug like it does not exist. I hope this is enough proof to show many that racist people does still exist and racism is very much so alive.  We have to address these issues as they take place or before  it hits  the home base. Cutting it down before it gets a chance to emerge and become something that take more black lives.

We want equality, we want people to be one, we want respect but as a black person you have to learn that wanting is good enough anymore. You have to demand the things that you need. Wanting is okay but demanding take it to another level. When you are demanding something you are ready to be proactive about what you are in need of. The confederate flag still flies high in South Carolina after this tragedy. Now blacks are demanding that it needs to come down. What was known as the battle flag became a flag for white supremacies and now the people of South Carolina are demanding that it be taken down.

9 people died in a bible study in their church. These black people were just meeting as usual nothing out of the ordinary. A young man walked in the church and they invited him and welcomed him to their church. He sat there with them and enjoyed their service and then decided to take their lives anyway. A young man 26 year old just graduated from Howard University was one of the 9 people to die. He tried to talk the young man out of it and tell him that he didn't have to do it. The shooters words were yes I do, Your people are taking over our country and raping our women. Now i do not know if these are personal things that he has experienced or things that his family or the internet has brain washed him with. You can clearly see his defiance from his pictures that he post oh his Facebook, for the love that he carries for white supremacy.

The Shooter went to trial and he had to hear from the family of the victims in the court room. The judge wanted sympathy for the family of the ones who lost their loved ones and in the same breathe he wanted empathy for the family whose child just took 9 lives. Many were out raged and found his statement to be unacceptable. All of this coming from the same judge who they found previous records on of him acting inappropriately in another hearing telling a black man with a courtroom full of people that there are 4 types of people in this world there are white people african americans, red necks and niggers. The judge received a suspension for his statement along with another inappropriate behavior that he displayed in the courtroom. His track record appears not to be the best and he did not have the right to grant bail on any charges that this young man has been given in this case.

Even though the young man is now on suicidal watch in jail. It does not begin to give these strong individual a piece of mind. They all lost someone close to them through a tragic incident. Yet they all stood up in the courtroom and told this man that they forgive him for all he has done and even though the hurt and pain is in their hearts, they can find it to still forgive him and hope that he finds his way to god.

Blacks want to know what is being done to protect our lives?
